The Relocation Companion is a professional relocation agency providing services for communities, employers and individuals/families.  Our focus is on the “people” part of relocation; creating a pathway for successful transitions into new homes, jobs and communities by providing customizable resources and support for those making the move.  We recognize this as the most beneficial investment in relocation. 

Moving is a MAJOR LIFE CHANGE and should be treated as such.  Our mission is to equip individuals and families with the tools they need to find happiness and success in their new communities.  This in return benefits not only that individual and/or family, but also their employer and the community they settle into. 

Owner, Rhiannon Israel, has made several moves and transitions throughout her lifetime.  Since childhood, she has known moving across the country to be normal and in the best interests of her family.  As an adult, her move to South Dakota for her husband’s job presented her with new perspective into the “gaps” of relocation.  

It was at this point that Rhiannon set forward to assist employers in providing services that benefit the long-term success of their employee relocations.  Her involvement in economic and community development was a natural pathway to expand her services and start providing relocation support directly to communities.  She is passionate and believes that there should be adequate support for relocations nationwide, regardless where they move or why they move.

Relocating is a major life change that is being recognized as the most stressful life event that we go through in our lifetime. Moving disrupts every aspect in one’s live and there is a lot of pressure to ensure your family settles and finds happiness in the new home.

When you have multiple people to care for, and perhaps a new job to start, there is a lot that can go awry.

The last thing you want is for this move to be a failure, which is where we come in play.

Completely uprooting your life and starting over from scratch somewhere new is no easy feat. Ensuring your entire family is supported throughout your journey is critical. When we work with you and your family, we ensure that we:

Our founder is a wife, mother and daughter who has experienced relocating her entire life.  When she works with clients, she provides authentic, compassionate and goal-driven support so each move has the best positioning for success!

There is a gap in the relocation industry that allows relocations to continue to be risky for BOTH employer and employee.

The gap is on the personal side of the relocation. One of the main reasons for relocations to fail is because the employee and their family were unable to successfully transition into their new community.

This is not something typically covered in employee relocation packages.

At The Relocation Companion, we fill that gap and address the need for personal support and guidance throughout the transition of moving into a new community.   

We work with employers and provide affordable solutions that allow for SUCCESSFUL employee relocations, by focusing on the roots of success!

Communities are recognizing that they play a critical role in the success of relocations moving into town.

Relocations affect our local economy, employers, businesses and community organizations…all of who we want to thrive.

A smooth transition will dictate much of the outcome for those relocating new residents and the impact they have on the community.

Economic development, chamber and city initiatives are shifting their focus to better attract and support relocations, whether they are organic or employer-driven.

For a community to thrive and succeed, it takes a collaborative effort, which is what we bring to the table when working with communities!

Some communities are able to offer juicy incentives, like $10k, to entice prospective new residents to move there. While this is eye -catching, we recognize that:

1. Not all communities have a large budget.
2. Shiny objects, such as a financial incentive, does not necessarily draw the right people or motivate people to move into the community for the right reasons.
3. Personal support (beyond cash) is crucial to provide for this major life change individuals and families are going though.
4. No matter how large or small, every community has something great to offer new residents!
